About the Material template
Material combines editorial typography with a product design motif. A rust block in the top right corner holds the photo and a drawing of two isometric cubes. The first name is set in a condensed bold face, the surname in large serif italics, and the job title stands beside the surname. The serif summary and contact details sit above a strong rule; below it the main column contains experience and education and the narrower column skills, languages and additional information, all with numbered sections. The footer under a rust rule contains interests and the portfolio address. The layout suits industrial designers, furniture and product designers, design engineers and model makers.
Four colours can be changed: dark rust (numbers, captions, footer rule), the cube drawing, the rust header block and the strong rule below the summary. The photo is on by default, skills and languages appear as lists, and the section numbering is recalculated when any section is hidden. Material is the choice over Manifesto for the coloured block with the photo in the page corner, and over Matcha for the serif italic surname and a layout without rounded blocks. Full access is required.
