About the Classic template
Classic is a single-column CV template with a plain sans-serif typeface, a bold name at the top, a muted violet job title and thin horizontal rules under letter-spaced section headings. Contact details are placed in one line beneath the name, so there is no sidebar and no photo by default; the page reads from top to bottom in the order recruiters expect: summary, experience, education, skills, additional information. Skill bars with level labels and small technology tags give the skills section structure without adding colour blocks. The restrained look suits finance, administration, engineering and any application where content should carry more weight than design.
Customisation is deliberately narrow: only the colour of the rules can be changed, which keeps the document uniform however it is edited. A profile photo can be switched on, and the skill bars can be hidden in favour of plain lists. Compared with Timeline, the other free single-column option, Classic has no timeline decoration and less accent colour. This CV template is free.
