About the Cross Section template
Cross Section brings the conventions of an architectural drawing to a CV page: warm paper, graphite and vermilion, fine rules and cut marks in the margins. The first name is set in a large serif and the surname in italics, while the photo has a stepped crop in its lower corner with a vermilion door-swing drawing and dimension line beside it. Below the header are numbered sections: the summary with contact details, then experience with dates on two lines, education and interests in the main column, and skills grouped by category, languages with a level column and additional information in the narrower column. At the bottom of the page is a vermilion band with the portfolio address. The layout suits interior architects, designers, urban planners and construction professionals.
Two colours can be changed: vermilion (band, drawing, numbers and captions) and the graphite rules. The photo is on by default, skills and languages appear as lists, and the section numbers are recalculated when any section is hidden. Cross Section is the choice over Bauhaus for serif typography and warm paper, and over Terroir for two columns with Arabic numerals and a stronger colour accent. Full access is required.
