ATS CV checker

Applicant tracking systems do not see the design of a document, only its text layer. The test reads the PDF file the same way and shows what reaches the system and what is missing. The check is free and does not require an account.

PDF up to 5 MB. Up to 10 pages are analysed.

The file is analysed on the eveilo server at the moment of the check and is not stored. The content of the CV is not sent to any external service.

Scope of the test

  • Text layer: whether the file contains text or is a scan or image.
  • Character readability: whether the typeface has a correct character mapping.
  • Section headings: experience, education and skills, in five languages.
  • Contact details: e-mail address and phone number.
  • Dates: whether the employment history can be reconstructed.

Limits of the test

ATS products differ, and the test checks the readability of the file, not the quality of the content or the match with a job advert. A result without issues means that the data in the CV can be read correctly.
